It has been an absolute pleasure working with Gavin across multiple skills development workshops, from youth initiatives in Alexandra to programmes within the Department of Correctional Services for women. Gavin is a graduate of Chrysalis Academy who returned years later to serve as a youth instructor, inspiring countless young people in our care. He brought passion, discipline, and authenticity to every space in which he worked. Through sharing his deeply personal and transformative journey, he has encouraged many young people to remain on a positive path, believe in their potential, and pursue lives of purpose and possibility.

Gavin facilitated a powerful workshop that masterfully addressed the holistic experience of being a man — from professional life and fatherhood to marriage and community impact. The outdoor activity he led was a true highlight, sparking incredible participation and openness. We had the honour of hosting Gavin as a facilitator at our 10th Annual PeaceJam South Africa Youth Leadership Conference.
